Resumen

324 participants from the University of Barcelona were included in this study. Pearson Correlation Analysis was applied to explore the relationships between age, grade, BSI, BFI, and phubbing. The results show that university students' phubbing behavior is positively correlated with levels of psychological distress, including anxiety, depression, and somatization. In terms of personality traits, phubbing behavior is positively correlated with neuroticism but negatively correlated with agreeableness and conscientiousness. This study provides a theoretical foundation for more effective interventions and strategies to address the phenomenon of phubbing on university campuses.
